In this context, the ZIÖ Zeitschrift für Immobilienökonomie (German Journal of Real Estate Research), the first academic journal for real estate economics research in the German-speaking world, which he initiated as editor, should be mentioned again.

In order to advance academic research in the field of Real Estate Economics in Germany, in 1994, Karl-Werner Schulte initiated the PhD dissertation series “Schriften zur Immobilienökonomie”, which he edited. Starting with volume 67, the series is continued as “Schriften zur Immobilienökonomie und Immobilienrecht” (Texts on Real Estate Economics and Law) and is edited by the professors of the IRE|BS International Real Estate Business School.
