The scope of his work in this field is extensive. He is an Editorial Board Member of the journal of the same name, has supervised up to 160 PhD projects and Master’s theses and is Academic Director of the IRE|BS Competence Center of the same name, which conducts the seminar “Doing Real Estate Business in Africa” in the Master’s programme at IRE|BS. Karl-Werner Schulte is also the founder of the non-profit foundation “IRE|BS Foundation for African Real Estate Research”, which supports African universities in the development of real estate degree programs, as well as doctoral and master students. The IRE|BS Competence Center and the IRE|BS Foundation work closely together with the AfRES African Real Estate Society.
